As part of the application process we require two references. The referees should have known you for two years or more and should not be a relative.

All our volunteers undertake Criminal Records checks; there is no charge for this.

Once your application has been received we will make an appointment for an informal meeting, where we discuss the nature of our service and give you information regarding the Criminal Records Checks.

It will also give us the opportunity to get to know you, which is important when matching you with a client.

Please be aware that the whole process may take few weeks, and you cannot be put in touch with clients until the Criminal Records Check has been completed. This is to safeguard the client and the organisation.
